Harris Escobar, RDH, is a Registered Dental Hygienist dedicated to addressing the significant gaps in dental care faced by individuals who encounter difficulties visiting traditional dental offices. Recognizing the structural barriers many face in accessing essential oral healthcare, he is deeply committed to expanding access to preventative services with the utmost dedication.

Harris's clinical journey commenced in challenging environments throughout Southern California. He began his career as a dental assistant, gaining nearly a decade of invaluable experience before pursuing higher education. His professional training at the West Los Angeles College Hygiene Clinic, UCLA School of Dentistry, and the Greater Los Angeles Veterans (VA) Clinics has equipped him with the expertise to handle diverse and intricate clinical scenarios with the highest standard of care.

His profound commitment to public health is evidenced by his extensive service at esteemed institutions such as the South Bay Children's Health Center, Community Health Center of Simi Valley, Burbank Children’s Free Clinic, Lanterman Special Needs Homes, and Care Harbor, where he works tirelessly to assist underserved populations.

 

 

Harris has garnered recognition from both peers and mentors as a distinguished professional in the field. He holds numerous accolades, including the Director’s Award, Colgate STAR Award, Parent Student Award, and a Leadership Award as a California Dental Hygiene Association Representative. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning an advanced degree in Dental Hygiene with a minor in Health Sciences, alongside degrees in behavioral and social sciences. These commendations reflect a harmonious combination of clinical acumen and theoretical expertise for a comprehensive, whole-body preventative approach.

Driven by the belief that everyone deserves a healthy smile, Harris is currently pursuing his Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) designation. His ultimate professional goal is to transition into independent, specialized community care to effectively remove the barriers associated with travel and waiting rooms for those who need it most.
